I saw this play and loved the story- I really didn’t think Elyse Mirto’s performance in Next Year in Jerusalem was at all what a better actress could have done with such an important role– disappointed. didn’t hear the speech- sounds sophomoric- though liked the Any Day Now performance.

Hahaha – that sounds like something she would say! I remember her talking about her dress still as I was moving her around afterwards to get her picture taken.

She’s very kind and funny. She is one of the most humble actresses I know who is quickly gathering work, notice, and acclaim. I expect to see her accepting a Tony or an Emmy at some point in the not too-distant future, yet, she is as down to earth as they get.

Those are the people that I cheer for – the GOOD actors who are Good People, too. The play was fantastic (review soon to come) but I felt she added a wonderful element to it that would have made the play lacking without her.

Elyse Mirto gave one of the best acceptance speeches at the NY IT Awards this year, it had something to do with her dress and keeping her twins from popping out.
