This sounds like a great thing to do on the July 4th weekend for those die-hard New Yorkers (like me) who can’t think of a better place to be than good ole NYC on Independence Day.

Some of my friends from Marie’s Crisis are doing a tour of the pianos on July 4th, and busting out some showtunes. Sad I can’t go.

Their tentative schedule is as follows (all times are estimated):
1:00- The Metropolitan Museum of Art
1:25- The Central Park Bandshell
1:50- Merchants’ Gate at Central Park
2:10- Lincoln Center
2:35- Times Square
3:05- Herald Square and Greeley Square
3:35- Astor Place
3:55- Bleecker Street and Fifth Avenue

I saw one at the Astor place subway stop – and was wondering the same thing…what the….?

And then it hit me that it looked to be in too good a shape…I’ve been hearing that these were up all over the place, but I hadn’t seen any but the Astor one – I like the picture you took!!
